
An accomplished student, Ben Markulec is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. As he pursues his degree, Ben Markulec draws upon a distinguished record as a graduate of Hopewell Valley Central High School in NJ, where he completed a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum, which included a range of honors and AP classes. Among other academic achievements, he earned honors for his performance on the National Latin Exam.
Mr. Markulec also stands out for a wrestling career that has spanned a decade. As a four-year varsity high school wrestler, he finished fourth in the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association Championships, and reached the final round of 16 wrestlers in the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) National tournament. He also won the Mercer County Tournament twice during this period.
Outside of his academic and athletic accomplishments, Ben Markulec is dedicated to giving back to others by engaging in volunteer and leadership activities. He has attended youth conferences, such as Future Leader Camp at Norwich University, and served on the Youth Advisory Board for the town of Hopewell from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, he volunteers in the community with organizations like Brandywine Senior Living, and coaches young wrestlers in his area.
